Can i put a swimsuit in the dryer?

I want to swim, but my swimsuit is wet from yesterday. I hate the cold/clammy feeling of putting on a damp swimsuit. Is it okay to put it in the dryer, or will that mess it up?

You can run a swimsuit through the dryer, but that weakens the lycra fabric. If you want to dry it, I advise instead that you just hang it close to a fan. It's not the heat that dries objects. Rather it's the wicking away of moisture through air circulation. Hope this helps.

You will definitely mess up your bathing suit if you put it in the dryer. You can place it on a towel and then roll up the towel. That helps get most of the water out of the swimsuit. If you hang it up after that it shouldn't take that long to dry.

my hubby did that to mine and the butt part got all stretched out...don't do it unless u wanna show ur goodies

yes but be sure you use low heat especially if its nylon and if it has elastic in it you may ruin the elastic

I have many swimsuits that have been used for more than 1 season. I know what I am talking about. Shall I begin. First you should wash the used suit, in cold water with a Woolite type delicate soap on the gentle cycle- if possible let it spin twice, this way, most of the moisture is removed. You can then place, in the dryer using the "air fluff" setting this is air only not a heat setting. If you don't have this setting than use only the lowest possible heat temp. Dry for only 10 minutes and remove, hang or lay flat to thoroughly dry. The problem with most suits is that rinsing after each use instead of washing leaves residual chemicals, even saltwater can ruin a swimsuit this eats at the fibers/lycra and the next time you take it out it's lost it's shape the elasticity is deteriorating. Another reason you should wash your suit is moisturizers or suntan/sunblock can ruin your suit as well, it is just best for maintaining the appearance as well as performance .

Yes you can but the swimsuit will go out of shape. The best thing to do is hang it on a coat hanger and use a hair dryer to dry it.

odds are yes you can put it in the dryer. but you should take your swim suit and off wow now walk to the washing machine. wow you look good naked walking to the washing machine . now lift the lid on the machine and you will see symbols that tell you what to do with your washing. your swim suit should have this little tag on it match that up with the symbols on the lid of the machine and wow you will know if your swim suit can go for a ride in the dryer.

depends on the brand and material of your swimsuit. Most of them- it's alright to put in the dryer- just remember low heat.

I have that problem too. Yes it's ok to put your swimsuit in the dryer just make sure you rinse it off if you were swimming at the beach before you put it in the dryer.

No! I am a competitive swimmer..best way to wash a swim suit is in cold water in your sink with gentle detergent and hang dry it. If you dry it in the dryer you will fade the colors and stretch out the elastic in the suit fabric.

Sure. Just wash it in cold water, and then hang dry.
